Lamine Yamal has been tipped to be handed the famous No. 10 shirt at Barcelona next season after starring for club and country.

The 16-year-old is the club’s bright hope for the future and has been living up to expectations since breaking into the first team.

Yamal has previously said he “would be proud” to be Barcelona’s No. 10, but it now seems he may be having a few doubts after taking on the iconic jersey.

Relevo are reporting that if Yamal is offered the 10 he will have to think about it, mainly because he is well aware of what wearing the famous number represents.

Ansu Fati is the current owner but struggled after inheriting the shirt from Messi. Indeed it wasn’t even used last season as Fati went out on loan to Brighton.

The forward is expected to be part of Barca’s pre-season plans but is still facing an uncertain future at the club and could move on if a decent offer arrives.

Meanwhile, Yamal looks the obvious chance to wear the No. 10, but is in no rush to take it on and simply isn’t sure that this is the right time for such a huge responsibility.
