The Brazilian forward could be sold this summer

The short career of Vitor Roque in a Barcelona shirt might very well be coming to an end soon as the young Brazilian striker could be close to being sold to the Saudi Pro League, according to the latest reports.

Diario SPORT claim that Barça have accelerated talks with Saudi side Al Hilal, who initially proposted a loan with an obligation to buy next season. But the Blaugrana want to resolve the player’s future immediately and have named a price of €40 million to complete the transaction on a permanent deal within the next month, the report says.

Barça are not in a big rush to complete the deal and new manager Hansi Flick plans to use Roque during the preseason tour of the United States before a final decision is made, but the belief around Barça is that the player won’t have many minutes this season and he already knows he’s not a big part of the plans.

Vitor Roque will hold the final decision on his future and will have to choose whether to stay and fight for his spot or accept the lucrative salary offer from Saudi Arabia on his table. The Brazilian has barely played since joining Barça six months ago and the club would be able to sign their two main targets this summer, Nico Williams and Dani Olmo, if they sell Roque for a big fee which would create quite a bit of salary cap space.
