The two have been reunited in La Liga

Robert Lewandowski has been talking about Barcelona boss Hansi Flick after being reunited with the German in Catalunya.

The pair worked together previously at Bayern and Lewandowski seems to be finding top form again under Flick at Barcelona.

Lewandowski is currently on international duty with Poland but spoke about his close relationship with Flick at a press conference on Monday.

“As for coach Hansi Flick, not many people came with him from Bayern. So I think he didn’t transfer everything he had at Bayern,” he told reporters.

“He adapted to the team he has here. His experience helps him manage the players. We have such a relationship with him that sometimes we don’t even have to talk much, and I’ll still know what to do and what the coach expects from me.”

The striker also spoke about his team’s good start to the season after heading into the international break on top of La Liga.

“We all look better on the pitch. I have more situations and more passes. Yesterday’s second goal was football ABC. The boys’ form is pleasing. Everyone on the pitch is playing at their level. It all adds up,” he added.

“We are aware that we have difficult matches ahead of us and we have to be ready. We have our feet firmly on the ground, the season is long. We want to maintain our form and even improve it. A few boys will return from injuries, we can be even stronger, and the coach will have a wider choice.”

Lewandowski and Poland are set to take on Portugal and Croatia in the Nations League during the international break.
