Hansi Flick has called up 23 players for Tuesday’s clash
The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana return to Champions League action with a home game in the League Phase against French side Brest, and Hansi Flick has called up the following 23 players for Tuesday’s clash:
Goalkeepers: 13. Iñaki Peña, 25. Wojciech Szczesny, 31. Diego Kochen
Defenders: 2. Pau Cubarsí, 3. Alejandro Balde, 5. Iñigo Martínez, 23. Jules Kounde, 24. Eric García, 32. Héctor Fort, 35. Gerard Martín, 36. Sergi Domínguez, 39. Andrés Cuenca
Midfielders: 6. Gavi, 8. Pedri, 14. Pablo Torre, 16. Fermín López, 17. Marc Casadó, 20. Dani Olmo, 21. Frenkie de Jong, 41. Guille Fernández
Forwards: 9. Robert Lewandowski, 11. Raphinha, 18. Pau Víctor
Barça get at least some good news on the injury front for this one as Eric García returns after missing over a month with a groin issue, adding much-needed depth to the backline. That’s where the good news stop, however, as Lamine Yamal misses a third consecutive match with an ankle issue and joins Marc-André ter Stegen (knee), Ansu Fati (hamstring), Andreas Christensen (Achilles) and Marc Bernal (knee) on the injured list, while Ferran Torres (hamstring) and Ronald Araujo (hamstring) are back in training but not medically cleared to play yet.
Predicted starting XI (4-3-3):
Peña; Kounde, Cubarsí, Iñigo, Fort; Casadó, De Jong, Pedri; Raphinha, Lewandowski, Olmo
The match kicks off at 9pm CET/WAT (Barcelona & Nigeria), 8pm GMT (UK), 3pm ET, 12pm PT (USA), 1.30am IST (India, Wednesday), and you can join us to follow and comment all the action.
