Barcelona set return date for Araujo after hamstring surgery
Not long to wait now
Barcelona are hoping Ronald Araujo will make his long-awaited return date from injury against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
Araujo hasn’t played for the club yet this season after undergoing surgery in the summer but is back in training and closing in on a comeback.
Barca expect him to make the squad for their next Champions League encounter when they head to Germany on December 11.
The news means he will still be sidelined for upcoming La Liga fixtures against Las Palmas, Real Mallorca and Real Betis.
Hansi Flick’s side are in good shape in the tournament and currently sit in second place in the table after five games played.
Dortmund will move level with Barca on 12 points if they beat Dinamo Zagreb later today in their latest fixture.
Barca are then due to finish off the first phase of their tournament in 2025 with games against Benfica and Atalanta.
