Barca set to register Olmo after clinching multi-million euro deal
A promising update
Barcelona are reportedly set to secure a new multi-million euro deal that will act as the club’s latest financial lever and allow the Catalans to register Pau Victor and Dani Olmo.
President Joan Laporta and his staff are hoping to secure a deal to sell VIP seats at the Camp Nou to Middle Eastern investors which will bring in a financial injection of €100m, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The club are hoping a deal can be finalised over the weekend, allowing for Olmo and Victor to be re-registered for the rest of the campaign.
According to Marca, the new deal will also allow Barcelona to finally return to the 1:1 rule which will be another boost for the club.
There’s a similar update from Relevo as well - who also add that Laporta has sent the documentation over to La Liga already for approval before contracts are signed.
If the deal does go through it will be a huge relief for Barcelona after a court rejected their appeal for a precautionary measure to allow Olmo to be registered on Friday.
Barcelona’s only other option appears to be for someone to put up a personal guarantee, but at the moment it looks like that won’t be needed.
