Laporta offers update on Barca’s plans to register Olmo & Victor
Work to be done
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has offered an update on Dani Olmo and Pau Victor as both players are only registered until the end of the year.
The Catalans are working hard to ensure both attackers can play in the second half of the season, with it having previously been reported Olmo can leave for free if he’s not registered.
Here’s the latest from Laporta:
“We are working on the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, and we are studying all the avenues,” he said.
“We have requested precautionary measures, and if they are granted, we will have solved the problem. In addition, we demand that the financial margin that Ter Stegen has left us is sufficient to register the two players.
“We are working to raise money so that these players can fit. The contract with Nike is also fundamental. LaLiga asked us to go through an Assembly. It is the best contract in the world.
“We have the Assembly on the 21st and we will work to have it approved, to have one more tool to register them. We are also looking for other ways to comply with the rules of ‘fair play.’”
Laporta sounds optimistic on the topic, as Deco has done recently, but Barca will need to move quickly as January is rapidly approaching.
