Olmo ‘stressed and anxious’ ahead of registration deadline at Barca
The player faces an anxious wait
Dani Olmo’s camp are said to be “uneasy and upset” as they wait to discover if he will be registered by Barcelona for the second half of the season.
The Catalan giants have until the end of the day to resolve the issue and have already seen two court appeals rejected.
Diario AS are reporting that the club have been trying hard to reassure Olmo that all will be well but that his entourage aren’t too happy with the situation.
Barca met Olmo’s lawyer, Ramon Valencia, and his father Miquel before Christmas to tell them the situation was under control but they are still waiting for confirmation.
Mundo Deportivo are also reporting that the situation has caused Olmo “extra stress, nerves and anxiety” which is “affecting both his daily routine and his professional performance.”
Olmo is due to train with Barcelona on Tuesday, for the final time this year, while Barcelona work hard on sealing his registration.
The club are said to have struck a deal to sell VIP boxes at the Camp Nou and have sent the documentation to La Liga for approval.
Barca must now wait for a response and have until 11.59pm tonight to register Olmo.
