He’s not happy

Getafe boss Jose Bordalas has taken aim at Barcelona manager Hansi Flick and president Joan Laporta in the wake of last weekend’s La Liga draw.

Flick spoke out after the game about how he’d “never experienced anything like this” before in his career and how “It’s like tennis, with the lob. It wasn’t nice to play there.”

Meanwhile, Joan Laporta made it clear he was furious Barcelona were not awarded a penalty for a foul on Jules Kounde.

Those comments don’t appear to have gone down well with Bordalas who has had a pop at the Catalans.

“As you know, I am a very respectful coach with all my colleagues and with all the people linked to the world of football, but I can summarise this very simply. I respect those who respect, and those who do not respect do not deserve respect,” he said.

“Criticism is an excuse when you don’t win. When you win ninety percent of the games because you’re in an important team, it’s very easy to be a gentleman, but when you stop winning you have to be a gentleman anyway. That’s all I can say.

“I hope we continue to have those excuses, that will be a good sign because we have gotten a good result. I am tired of finishing matches where they wish you luck but they beat you. They didn’t beat us on the field because we played a great game.”

Getafe took a point off Barcelona in a game where Alejandro Balde complained afterwards he had received racist insults during the match.

The Competitions Committe in Spain has opened an investigation and Getafe could face a partial stadium closure.
