A new job in the offing?

Barcelona legend Xavi is being linked with a return to management at Serie A side Juventus.

According to L’Equipe, the Turin giants have contacted Xavi and held ‘informal talks’ about the possibility of taking over from Thiago Motta.

The report claims that Motta’s job is not under serious threat right now but that Juventus are thinking ahead and looking at possible future options.

Motta’s not made a great start to life at Juve. The new coach has his team down in fifth place in the table, a distant 16 points behind leaders Napoli.

Juventus have only been beaten once so far this season in the league but the club’s hierarchy will expect a title challenge next year.

Xavi has been without a club since leaving Barcelona last summer but has been linked with Manchester United and Inter Miami this season.

It’s thought Xavi wanted some time out after his spell at Barcelona but may be ready to take up another management job in the summer.

Would Juve be a good spot for Xavi? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
