The midfielder has a list of admirers

Marc Casado has enjoyed a breakout season at Barcelona under Hansi Flick after forcing his way into the starting XI and thriving.

The 21-year-old has made 30 appearances in all competitions and also been handed a call-up to the senior Spain national team.

Casado’s rise has not gone unnoticed in England where Premier League clubs have been impressed by his performances, according to Cadena SER.

Teams tried to tempt him in the summer, before he renewed his contract, and are still said to be keeping tabs on the youngster.

Big-spending Chelsea are said to have been “one of the latest teams” to take an interest and asked just a few weeks ago about his situation at the club.

Yet Casado is happy at the club for now and still has three years left on his contract which contains a release clause set at 100 million euros.

The midfielder has lost some prominence in recent weeks, as Frenkie de Jong has re-emerged after injury, but remains a key part of Flick’s plans for now.
