Araujo back in Barca training but still a doubt for Rayo
The defender could miss out
Ronald Araujo was back in training with Barcelona on Saturday as Hansi Flick finalises preparations for Monday’s clash with Rayo Vallecano.
The defender has missed Barcelona’s last two sessions due to a bruised ankle sustained against Sevilla but did take part in the session at the Ciutat Esportiva.
Araujo’s return is a boost but it’s still not known if he will be ready to play against Rayo Vallecano on Monday when Barca return to action.
Mundo Deportivo say that he’s “not yet 100% fit” and that Barcelona don’t want to take any risks with the Uruguay international.
If that’s the case then it seems we won’t see Araujo and Flick will instead stick with Inigo Martinez and Pau Cubarsi at Montjuic.
Barcelona head into the match after having a rare free week so should be well rested and refreshed for the visit of Inigo Perez’s side.
