Flick calls Bellingham act ‘disrespectful’, tells his players not to ‘waste time’ with referees

The Barça coach reacted to Saturday’s controversy involving the Real Madrid star
Barcelona have a chance to reclaim top spot in the La Liga table on Monday against Rayo Vallecano, thanks in large part to Real Madrid dropping two points with a draw away to Osasuna on Saturday.
There was a major talking point in that game involving Jude Bellingham, who was sent off for dissent after allegedly telling the referee “f*** you”. Bellingham and Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti disputed the allegations, claiming Bellingham said “f*** off” in frustration with his own play instead.
Barça manager Hansi Flick was asked about the incident in a press conference on Sunday and did not buy Bellingham’s explanation, calling the player’s act disrespectful and stressing that his own players should not argue with referees.
“[F*** off or F*** you?] It’s disrespectful either way, but I don’t have to decide this situation. I tell my players not to waste time or energy talking to the referees. The decisions have already been made. There is one player on the field who is allowed to argue with the referee, and that’s the captain. I really like handball and we should learn a lot from that sport. It’s not good for the team to get a red card and we don’t want that.”
Do you agree with Flick’s reaction to Bellingham’s red card, Barça fans?
