Christensen can’t catch a break - Barca defender injured again
Another problem for the Dane
Barcelona passed defender Andreas Christensen fit in midweek but have seen the Dane ruled out again through injury.
Christensen is having a miserable season with injuries. He missed the start of the season with Achilles trouble and then picked up a calf injury in training.
Manager Hansi Flick confirmed on Saturday that Christensen has now suffered another issue ahead of Sunday’s clash with Real Sociedad.
“We are all keeping an eye on Andreas, he got injured in this training session,” he told reporters.
“He was an option for us for tomorrow, but he got injured and we have to wait and see how bad the injury is. We hope it’s not too bad.”
Early reports suggest that Christensen has suffered another calf problem, but it remains to be seen how long he will be out of action for.
Let’s hope it’s not too serious and we can see him back in action soon.
