Barca & Monaco agree Ansu loan deal with €20m purchase option

The deal is almost done
Barcelona and Monaco have reportedly reached an “agreement in principle” over a loan transfer for Ansu Fati.
The forward is set to move to the Ligue 1 side on an initial loan with a €20 million option to buy at the end of the season, according to Helena Condis at Cope.
Chelsea had also expressed interest in Fati, but it seems his preference is to head to France and a deal is expected to be finalised this week.
The loan transfer will offer Fati the chance to reignite his career after some frustrating years where he has struggled for game time.
He has found minutes hard to come by this season under Hansi Flick at Barcelona and has only played 11 times in all competitions.
The hope will be that Fati can play regularly at Monaco and enjoy his football again after a difficult spell.
Fati’s move also means that his iconic No. 10 shirt will be up for grabs and is expected to be handed to Lamine Yamal.
