Barcelona preparing Julian Alvarez offer after agreeing deal for Anthony Gordon

Barcelona are reportedly preparing to make a first offer to Atletico Madrid for Julian Alvarez after agreeing a deal for Anthony Gordon.

The Newcastle is expected in Barcelona today for a medical and the hope is that his transfer can be completed this week.

Barca are now switching focus to Alvarez and are planning an initial bid, per Fabrizio Romano.

According to Diario Sport, Barca will offer an initial €90 million plus bonuses for the Argentina international. It’s been previously reported that Atletico want €150m.

The report adds that Barcelona expect a long negotiation but are confident they can land their man as they believe Alvarez wants the move and are confident he has now told Atletico.

Deco held a meeting at Barcelona a to discuss the transfer on Wednesday and also spoke with Alvarez’s agent who has arrived in the city this week.
