Report: Manchester City drop out of Pogba race, Barcelona now clear frontrunner
The 2015 POGBAPALOOZA continues! As the French superstar gets ready to make his Champions League debut, it appears that one of his potential landing spots is out of the map.
According to the Sunday Express, Manchester City, who meets Paul Pogba's Juventus on Tuesday, have reportedly given up on the race to sign the world's most coveted transfer target. The reports suggest that City will not maintain their pursuit of the 22-year-old midfielder, thus leaving the door open for Barcelona, the club believed to be the clear frontrunner to land the player.
Earlier this month, the same Express reported that Juventus and Barça have already agreed a pre-contract, and that a January deal is in place, with a €80 million fee to be paid by the Catalan giants in order to secure the player's signing once the winter transfer window is open.
Pogba has had a timid start to his season as have Juve, but a footballer of his talent should turn his immediate destiny very quickly. And it looks like his future destiny is set, and it involves a Blaugrana shirt.
