Barcelona’s left-back situation remains a concern, and the club are considering bringing in an experienced player. Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal and Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno apparently fit the bill, as they would not cost too much but could be tempted by a move.

Several players have returned to Barcelona training after completing their international commitments. Jasper Cillessen, Ousmane Dembélé, Luis Suárez, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and Samuel Umtiti are all back at the club. Barcelona B players Riqui Puig and Juan Miranda have also been training with the first team again.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel has talked about rumoured Barcelona target Adrien Rabiot. He said: “He has always been committed to the club. Since I have been here he has not missed a single training session, Rabiot is able to adapt to any system and if he is physically fine then he is essential for our planning. He is a player that has come through the system here and has a lot of potential. It is very important to have players like him here.”
