The GOAT is not a leader apparently

Diego Maradona has had a bit of a pop at Lionel Messi and reckons he’s not a leader because he “goes to the toilet 20 times before a game.”

The Argentine also reckons that Messi is a different player for Barcelona than he is for the national team.

“We shouldn’t deify Messi any longer,” he said.

“He’s Messi when he plays for Barcelona. Messi is Messi when he wears that shirt and he’s another Messi with Argentina.”

“He’s a great player but he’s not a leader. It’s useless trying to make a leader out of a man who goes to the toilet 20 times before a game.”

Maradona’s been talking about Messi a lot recently. He told him to retire from Argentina duty earlier this month as he reckons that whenever anything ever goes wrong it’s Messi’s fault.
