Barça’s ‘secret’ No.9 target is Mexican Carlos Vela | Sport

Barcelona’s secret option as a back-up striker is Carlos Vela, according to Cadena SER. The Mexican is Barca’s top target this month, ahead of Alvaro Morata who is also wanted by Atletico Madrid.

However, Mundo Deportivo reckon that Morata is actually Barca’s top choice this winter. The striker is seen as a low-cost option who has experience of La Liga, but he’s not the only option.

In the UK the news is that Morata is close to a move to Atletico Madrid. The striker is keen to return to the Spanish capital, but the deal depends on the Blues being able to bring in a replacement. Chelsea are confident they can land Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus.
