Barça squad named for Copa Final

Ernesto Valverde has called up 25 players for the trip to Seville

The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana travel to Seville for their last match of the season, the Copa del Rey Final against Valencia, and Ernesto Valverde has called up the following 25 players to travel for the title game:

Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 13. Jasper Cillessen, 30. Iñaki Peña

Defenders: 2. Nélson Semedo, 3. Gerard Piqué, 15. Clément Lenglet, 17. Jeison Murillo, 18. Jordi Alba, 23. Samuel Umtiti, 24. Thomas Vermaelen

Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 5. Sergio Busquets, 7. Philippe Coutinho, 8. Arthur, 12. Rafinha, 20. Sergi Roberto, 21. Carles Aleñá, 22. Arturo Vidal

Forwards: 9. Luis Suárez, 10. Lionel Messi, 11. Ousmane Dembélé, 14. Malcom, 19. Kevin-Prince Boateng, 29. Abel Ruiz, 43. Carles Pérez

As usual in Cup Finals and European trips, the whole squad gets to travel for the final game except for Jean-Clair Todibo, who stays in Barcelona to speed up his recovery before joining the under-20 France squad. Despite the big 25-man list, it’s easy to figure out the 18 players that will be in uniform on Saturday: Ter Stegen, Semedo, Arthur, Rafinha, Suárez, Dembélé and Boateng are all out due to injury, and although Coutinho hasn’t been cleared yet, he’s expected to be given the green light hours before the game and join the bench for the Final.

Predicted starting XI (4-4-2):

Cillessen; Roberto, Piqué, Lenglet, Alba; Vidal, Busquets, Rakitic, Aleñá; Messi, Malcom

The match kicks off at 9pm CET (Barcelona), 8pm BST/WAT (UK & Nigeria), 3pm ET, 12pm PT (USA), 12.30am IST (India, Sunday), and you can join us to follow and comment all the action.
