It may only be pre-season but the boss wants results

Barcelona have arrived in Japan ahead of pre-season friendlies against Chelsea and Vissel Kobe, with Ernesto Valverde keen for his team to win both matches.

The Spanish champions are without key players such as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Arthur for the trip to Asia but the boss says they will be expected to win.

“We’re Barcelona and we always want to win, it’s the obligation of this club,” he said.

”Our idea is to always maintain our style because it’s what the fans ask for.

”We want to win the two matches because we have lots of fans here in Japan and we want to give something back to them.”
