Barcelona would retain a buyback clause for the left-back

Juan Miranda could complete his move to Olympique de Marseille today, according to the player’s agent. Barcelona are said to have a buyback clause in mind with the sale of the left-back.

Miranda’s agent, Josep Maria Orobitg, told La Provence that they “still have questions to discuss,” but that the transfer could be wrapped up by today.

“It will be done, but it is not done yet,” the agent said.

More cautiously, he went on to say that “it’s time for the player to know where he’s going to go,” adding that if the matter was not solved by tomorrow, they would go elsewhere.

Juventus, Utrecht, and an unnamed Bundesliga club are potential suitors but Orobitg said that OM remains “the number one option.”

Negotiations between Barcelona and Marseille are still ongoing with questions surrounding the sale price as well as the cost of the buyback clause.

“Miranda wants to go to the club that best suits his family and, above all, that will allow him to play. It’s not an economic question, but a sporting choice. He’s young, he has to play, to be in a place where he is trusted, with a coach who is close to him,” the agent said.
