Los Che don’t want him again, and Italy could be his destination

Rumors in the last 24 hours have pointed to Barcelona’s Rafinha joining Serie A. The teams that are apparently interested in the player are Fiorentina, Atalanta and Inter Milan. This of course might be desirable for Rafinha due to his history with Inter Milan.

Leading into Monday, all signs were pointing towards a Rafinha to Valencia move. Barcelona wanted 10-15 million euros for him, plus some add-ons. But reports in Spain claim that Valencia chairman Peter Lim has once again vetoed the move due to the player’s injury history and his desire to see Kangin Lee have more minutes in midfield next season.

Rafinha was somewhat of a mixed bag at Inter, but he had mostly good times with the Nerazurri. A permanent move to either Inter or another club in Italy would serve Rafinha well. Either way, Barcelona hope to sell him this summer with a year left on his contract to make some money and clear the logjam in midfield.
