Barcelona may have to wait to take on Real Madrid

Speculation continues to swirl about what might happen with October’s Clasico clash, and the latest reports suggest the game could be postponed until December.

Cadena Ser report that La Liga’s request to switch the match from the Camp Nou to the Santiago Bernabeu is set to be rejected.

Meanwhile, other reports are claiming the Spanish government really don’t want the game to take place in Barcelona on the scheduled date.

Another solution is for the match to still be played at the Camp Nou but to be postponed. If it were to be moved to another date then it could be held in December - either the 4th or 18th apparently.

Marca reckon the most suitable date is Wednesday 18th. They report it’s up to the RFEF’s Competition Committee to make a decision and they will meet on Monday to try and come up with a solution.

Cadena Ser are also on the case but say the Competition Comittee may come up with a decision by the end of the week. We’ll keep you posted.
