Junior Firpo ruled out of Inter clash with injury

Another day, another setback for the Catalan giants

Barcelona have suffered yet another injury blow ahead of Wednesday night’s clash with Inter in the Champions League with news that Junior Firpo has been ruled out.

The hosts are already without Jordi Alba due to injury which means Junior was expected to start the game but will now miss out due to a muscle problem.

“Junior Firpo has been ruled out of FC Barcelona’s Wednesday night fixture against Internazionale through injury.

“The defender noted discomfort in his right leg after training on Tuesday, and tests undertaken this morning have confirmed a muscle injury to his hamstring.

“His availability to return to action will be assessed according to his recovery.”

The latest news means that Nelson Semedo looks set to feature at left-back instead of Junior, while Sergi Roberto should start at right-back.
