The left-back has another hamstring problem

Barcelona may have to cope without left-back Jordi Alba for a little while if the latest reports turn out to be true.

The Spaniard was forced off against Slavia Prague on Tuesday with a recurrence of a hamstring injury that seems set to sideline him for a spell.

Sport report that Alba will be out for at least a month as Barcelona are unwilling to risk him, will not rush him back and will give him plenty of time to recover fully.

Mundo Deportivo have a similar story on the Barcelona full-back. Their report suggests he’s out for four or five months but should be back in time for El Clasico on December 18.

He may even be back before then. There’s a suggestion he could return for the trip to Real Sociedad on December 15 or best case Real Mallorca on December 8.

What is clear is that Alba will be missing for the next few games which may allow Junior Firpo the chance to make an impression at Barcelona.
