Iniesta: Coaching Barca with Xaxi ‘doesn’t sound bad at all’
The midfielder discussed a possible Camp Nou reunion
Andres Iniesta has been talking about the possibility of linking back up with Xavi at Barcelona and reckons the idea “doesn’t sound bad at all.”
Xavi has confirmed this week he turned down an approach from Barcelona to replace Ernesto Valverde as manager but admitted it remains his dream to manage the club in the future.
Iniesta says he is being increasingly drawn to the idea of coaching after he’s finally decided to hang up his boots.
“A partnership of Xavi and Iniesta doesn’t sound bad at all, but it’s not possible at the moment,” he said.
“I haven’t said that I would like to train a certain team, but as time passes the idea of becoming a coach is becoming more appealing.
“I would like Xavi to coach Barca at any time, but you have to consider how he feels or what he has planned. I think Xavi will be back at Barca sooner or later, but I don’t know when.”

Quique Setien has since been installed as the club’s coach on a two-and-a-half-year contract that runs until 2022, but it would be no surprise if Xavi were to replace him.
