Neymar rumored to be interested in a new PSG deal

Is a Barcelona return off the table?

ESPN is reporting that Neymar and PSG are currently in talks about a new contract. The report says that Neymar wants to make it clear to his club that he will “pledge his future” to them.

However, any new deal could be dependent on the progress PSG makes in the Champions League. The relationship between Neymar and the club is apparently much better despite how close they came to selling the Brazilian last summer.

A return to Barcelona seemed to be all anyone was talking about with Neymar last summer. The more recent reports still made it seem as if when the summer window hit, the rumors would return. Even if Neymar commits his future to PSG through another contract extension, a return to Barcelona won’t feel off the table. The moment that PSG inevitably flame out of the Champions League, the rumors will return and so will my sadness at the possibility.
