Quique Setien shares his admiration for Busquets
The coach is a big fan of the midfielder
New Barcelona boss Quique Setien has been talking about his admiration for midfielder Sergio Busquets.
The midfielder famously gave Setien his shirt when he was Real Betis boss on which he had written: “To Quique, with appreciation and admiration for your way of seeing football. A hug.”
Setien has explained why he asked for Busi’s shirt and why he thinks the Spain international is such a special palyer.
“In my house I have some framed shirts but not everything that I’ve collected, but some special ones from footballers that meet a number of conditions that I value. One is obviously they’re great players, but I have a lot from players who aren’t famous players. It’s because I’ve shared things with them and they’ve demonstrated they they’re good players, they’re honest people, people who are dedicated, unique, who want to grow. Players who are not only good on the pitch, but behave a certain way, with the right attitude, and Busquets fits that profile.
“I have always had a great admiration from him because he has always presented a great image of a great footballer. He is key to that way of playing in the middle of the pitch, he’s vital and his ability to read the game is very unique. So I asked for his shirt so i could frame it and keep it in the place it needs to be.”

Busquets looks guaranteed to start under Setien on Sunday when Barcelona begin life under their new coach against Granada, but it will be interesting to see who else makes his starting XI.
