Todibo on future: I can well imagine staying at Schalke

The Frenchman is set to return to Barcelona from his loan spell

If there’s one Barcelona player in the rumor mill right now, it’s Jean-Clair Todibo. The young French defender is currently on loan at Schalke 04 but his name is constantly linked with a ton of clubs around Europe, and Barça seem ready to accept a really good offer in the upcoming transfer window.

Schalke have a chance to keep Todibo thanks to a clause in the loan deal to make the transfer permanent for 25 million euros, but the Germans might not have enough funds to exercise the clause due to the coronavirus crisis. If they are able to buy him, however, Todibo will be more than happy to stay at Schalke.

“I want to finish the season first and secure a good position. As for the future, yes I can well imagine staying at Schalke.

“There are many good things! The stadium, the incredibly passionate fans, the coach who gives me a lot of confidence. I have settled in quickly. The whole package is just right.”
