Szczęsny drops hint on Barca future amid contract extension talk

The veteran’s contract expires in the summer
Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny has hinted he could be set to extend his stay at the club past the end of the current campaign.
The Poland international came out of retirement to sign for Barcelona after Marc-Andre ter Stegen was ruled out a long-term knee injury.
Szczesny has gone on to become first choice under Hansi Flick and has hinted he could be willing to stay at the club for another season or two.
“If you asked me at the start of the season, I’d say I’ll be leaving Barça in June. But I love the time I‘ve spent here,” he said as reported Fabrizio Romano.
“My family is happy, my son loves his school, my wife loves being here… I’m open to everything.”
There has already been speculation that Barca are planning to offer Szczesny an extension and that he will become back-up to Ter Stegen next season.
