The Brazilian wants to return

Neymar continues to be linked with a move to Barcelona this summer in what would be another shock transfer for the Brazilian.

It’s been reported the forward is eager to head back to Barcelona for a final time ahead of World Cup 2026 on a free transfer.

Yet the latest updates coming out of Barcelona suggest the club really aren’t too keen on the idea of a summer move.

Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Barca aren’t even thinking about Neymar as they have plenty of other priorities this summer.

Hansi Flick’s side are eager to bring in another attacker and have Alexander Isak, Luis Diaz and Rafael Leao as their top options.

The club are also thought to want to strengthen at full-back to add to their defensive options.

Barca are also said to have doubts over his age - he’s just turned 33 - and whether he’s still at the required level after suffering an injury-ravaged spell in Saudi Arabia.

Diario Sport are also playing down talk of a move for Neymar. The feeling is that Flick isn’t keen as he wants a squad packed full of youth and intensity, meaning Neymar is simply not a good fit.
