Former Barcelona captain Xavi has warned against signing Sadio Mané or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, two African forwards who play in the English Premier League, and instead suggested signing Brazil’s Neymar.

Mané, a Senegalese international who plays for Liverpool, and Aubameyang, a Gabonese who plays for Arsenal, are two of the world’s best forwards. But Xavi says he’d opt for Paris Saint-Germain’s star, because of his ability in confined spaces.

“Mané and Aubameyang can kill you in open space. But Barcelona need players who know how to move in small spaces,” he said, according to an article published in Metro.

“I am thinking about a player who would adapt to Barcelona, and it’s not easy to find one. Samuel Eto’o was perfect, as is Luis Suárez right now.

”Football-wise, he is among the three or five best in the world. I hope that he returns to Barcelona. I was his teammate. He would add a lot,” he said.
