Barcelona already making plans for Trincao - report
The youngster will arrive in the summer
Barcelona have already decided they will keep Francisco Trincao in the first-team squad next season, with manager Quique Setien said to be excited about the prospect of the 20-year-old arriving at the Camp Nou.
Sport are reporting that Barcelona have been impressed by his performances for Braga since he signed for the Catalans in January and they are not thinking about sending him out on loan next season to gain experience.
Indeed the club are instead thinking about how best to use him. Trincao has usually played as a right winger for Braga, but Barca are thinking he might be better off being used as an attacking midfielder, a position where he has played before.
The club think he has the right attributes to play in that position at the Camp Nou. They like his ability to break the lines and contribute assists, although they will wait to see how he gets on in pre-season with the team when he’ll have a chance to stake a claim.
