Braithwaite talks life at Barca with Messi and Suarez

The striker is learning plenty from the duo

Martin Braithwaite has been talking about Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez and has revealed how both players are helping him improve at Barcelona.

The Denmark international says he has received plenty of advice from captain Messi, who he also describes as an “inspiration.”

Braithwaite also revealed how much he’s looking forward to playing with Luis Suarez now the striker is back from injury.

“He [Messi] gives so much confidence to the team because he can make the difference and also helped me personally to be a better player with his advice and how he sees football. He is really an inspiration,” he said.

“I am so happy that Luis is back because when I came here he was injured and I haven’t played with him. I want to learn from him, he is one of the best strikers in the world and I am happy he is back.”

Braithwaite might have to settle for a place on the bench against Real Mallorca on Saturday with Messi and Suarez both fit. Quique Setien has offered the DAne some hope by saying he’s not sure how ready Suarez is to start after so long out.
