Napoli tell UEFA to move UCL tie from Camp Nou
The game is due to take place on August 8
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has told UEFA to move their Champions League last-16 second leg tie with Barcelona after a rise in coronavirus cases in the area.
De Laurentiis is not happy with the game going ahead at the Camp Nou on August 8 and thinks it should be played in another country entirely.
The president was critical of UEFA and made it clear his club are not happy about travelling to play the Catalan giants on their home turf.
“It seems like we’re at school. At Uefa, nobody knows how to do business, and with our money too. If they decided that the Champions League is to be played in Portugal and the Europa League in Germany, we could play there as well.
“I don’t understand why we have to go to a city that, at this moment, has great problems.
“I call Uefa all the time, but it’s shameful. You hear about it in the big media [outlets] in Spain, but they aren’t interested.
“How long will they wait before saying we will play in Portugal, Germany or Switzerland?”

There do appear to be real concerns over the game currently, although it seems that for now at least it is still scheduled to be played at the Camp Nou.
UEFA have already said that their Plan B would be to move it to Portugal, and we’ll have to see how the situation develops over the coming days.
