Luis Suárez angry at Barcelona for pausing Atlético Madrid move - report
The Uruguayan does not understand why they are blocking his exit
Luis Suárez is once again annoyed at Barcelona, and club president Josep Maria Bartomeu in particular, this time because the club is pausing his proposed move to Atlético Madrid, according to the latest rumors.
In fact, he is telling Barcelona that either he will move to Madrid, or he won’t move at all. This would force the Catalans to pay the full amount of his salary for the last remaining year in his deal - whether he plays or not.
Bartomeu is said to be concerned about reinforcing a direct title rival for free, and even paying some of his salary for him to do so. But Suárez can’t understand why they forced him out of the club, only to block his preferred exit route.
The Uruguayan has already agreed a two year deal with Diego Simeone’s men. He is said to like the Madrid area, the club, and the ability to remain in La Liga.
Suárez is rumored to be considering calling a press conference in which he will air his grievances against the club.
