The Bosnian will undergo a second test to be sure he has recovered

Miralem Pjanić has tested negative for coronavirus and is ready to travel to Barcelona, although he will have to test negative twice more just to be sure before he is allowed to train with his new team.

The Bosnian international tested positive after the end of the season, which he finished with Juventus. He had agreed to join the Catalans in an exchange that sent Arthur the other way earlier in the summer.

“Today I received confirmation that I was negative on the first test. I have another test to do today, and I will find out the results tomorrow,” the midfielder told Bosnian media.

He is expected to travel either tomorrow or Thursday at the latest, at which point he will receive one more test, this time in Barcelona, before he can join his teammates in training.

He had been self isolating for the past two weeks, after his plans to join his new team for training were spoiled by the positive test.
