A curious claim has been made about the Liverpool star

Ronald Koeman has been linked with a whole host of players such he replaced Quique Setien at the helm and we can now add Mohamed Salah to the list.

Ajax legend Sjaak Swart has made the surprise claim that he knows Koeman wants the Egypt international at the Camp Nou.

“I know Koeman wants him and I know Salah would like to go, but I can’t reveal where the information comes from,” he told Dazn.

Koeman has mostly been linked with deals for Georginio Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay, but the club are yet to make a move in the transfer window.

Salah signed a new five-year contract at Liverpool in 2018 and was pretty vague when asked about his future in July, although there’s no suggestion he wants out of Anfield.

Indeed the 28-year-old has started the new Premier League season in fine style, scoring a hat-trick in a dramatic 4-3 win over Leeds United on Saturday.
