Memphis Depay has dropped yet another hint about his potential move to Barcelona, after playing in the Netherlands-Spain match.
“Who wouldn’t like to play for Barça?” Depay asked himself in a post-match interview. “Barça is a great club. There are many great teams, but Barça is one of the greatest.”
He was subbed off in the 79th minute as his national team drew the match against Spain 1-1.
The Lyon attacker was apparently keen on a move in the summer transfer window, but the deal fell through because Barça simply lacked the cash.
It is understood that Barcelona will try again to move for Depay in the coming transfer window, although there have been mixed messages as to whether the deal will finally materialize.
