Ilaix Moriba aiming for long Barcelona stay
The youngster could debut this week
Barcelona starlet Ilaix Moriba celebrated his 18th birthday on Tuesday and has been talking about life with the Catalan giants.
The youngster is the latest gem to have emerged from La Masia and looks to have a very bright future ahead of him at the Camp Nou.
Coach Ronald Koeman has already called him up for first-team training in recent weeks and included him in Barca’s most recent matchday squads which has gone down well with the youngster.
“It’s an honour for me to work with the first team. Every time I am with them it is very exciting and every day is new. I am like a kid in the playground. I am always trying to learn from them,” he said.
“I would like to make my debut at Camp Nou and to score, in front of the fans if that were possible. However, I am taking things one day at a time and I like to let things flow. With hard work, everything will be ok. I hope to be here for a long time and learn from the best.”

It’s possible we could see Ilaix in action for the first team later this week. The teenager is being tipped to make his debut in Thursday’s Copa del Rey clash with Cornella.
