It’s semi-final time!

Barcelona are in Copa del Rey semi-final action on Wednesday as they head to Sevilla for the first leg of their tie with Julen Lopetegui’s side.

Ronald Koeman’s men head into the game after another comeback win, this time seeing off Real Betis 3-2 in La Liga on Sunday.

However, the visitors will be without some key players due to injury, so let’s see how they might line up:

Defense

Koeman has problems in defense with Ronald Araujo out with a sprained ankle and joining Gerard Pique and Sergi Roberto on the sidelines.

Sergino Dest also appears to be a bit of a doubt with injury, meaning the Barcelona boss has some big decisions to make over his backline.

Oscar Mingueza looks set to play, either at right-back or center-back, while Clement Lenglet, Samuel Umtiti, and Frenkie de Jong are options to feature in the heart of the backline.

Jordi Alba should continue on the left, and Koeman will also need to decide between Marc-Andre ter Stegen or Neto in goal.

Midfield

Miralem Pjanic and Riqui Puig both started against Real Betis as Ronald Koeman rotated his squad but neither player really did enough to suggest they will keep their place in the starting XI for this one.

Sergio Busquets was also under-par at the weekend but looks likely to continue, while De Jong should start in midfield unless needed in defense. Pedri should complete the midfield after starting on the bench and getting a bit of a rest against Real Betis on Sunday.

Attack

Lionel Messi should lead the team out after only playing the final half an hour or so against Betis. The captain came on in the second half and scored within minutes of his arrival.

Antoine Griezmann should also start against Sevilla, while the final place in attack looks to be between Ousmane Dembele and Francisco Trincao.

Dembele played all 90 minutes against Betis and could continue, although Trincao will also be hoping for a start after scoring his first goal for the club.

Possible XI: Ter Stegen; Dest, Mingueza, Umtiti, Alba; De Jong, Busquets, Pedri; Dembele, Messi, Griezmann.
