The rumors just keep on coming

Neymar’s future continues to make headlines with reports claiming the Brazil international could be willing to wait a year to return to Barcelona and head back for free once his contract with PSG expires in 2022.

Reports over the weekend suggested that Neymar had called a halt to contract renewal talks with the French champions and has decided he wants to try and head back to the Camp Nou to play with Lionel Messi again.

Barca’s financial problems mean a move for Neymar this summer is unlikely, and the latest update suggests that the Brazilian could therefore be willing to see out his contract at the Parc des Princes and then join Barca on a free.

It’s a scenario that’s also being talked about at Mundo Deportivo. They cite sources close to the club as saying “Neymar now? He is free in a year” when asked about the possibility of signing the 29-year-old.

It’s not clear yet how much truth there is to the latest fresh of Neymar rumors, and whether Barca really are interested in bringing the forward back. It would certainly be a transfer that would divide opinion, given the way he left the club in 2017, while his injury record is also a bit of a worry.

What does seem certain is that Neymar’s future looks set to dominate headlines for another summer, unless the Brazil international does decide to put pen to paper on a new deal and commit his future to the French side before then.
