The coach has been talking transfer plans

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has suggested his club may not enter the bidding for Erling Haaland this summer despite rumors to the contrary.

Haaland’s agent has been in Spain this week to talk to Barcelona and Real Madrid and is expected to turn up at a host of Premier League clubs this week.

Manchester City had been one of the favorites to land Haaland, if he does move on, but Guardiola says they may not buy a striker this summer.

“With these prices we will not buy any striker. It’s impossible. We will not afford it. All the clubs struggle. We are not an exception. I don’t know what is going to happen. Today, there is more chance we will not buy a striker next season.”

The Premier League side have already announced Sergio Aguero will leave this summer and so had expected to spend big on a replacement. Haaland and Tottenham’s Harry Kane have both been mentioned a possible signings this summer.
