The Portuguese star encouraged the youngster in his recovery

One of the world’s most famous stars has sent a message of encouragement to Ansu Fati, who is undergoing a protracted recovery from a knee injury.

Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t known for sending positive vibes to FC Barcelona players, but the Portuguese did post a message on his official Instagram trying to lend his support to Fati.

In an Instagram story, Ronaldo wrote: “Let’s go @ansufati. You will be back soon! Go for it!” next to video of Fati training in the gym.

While the former Real Madrid player sending a message like that to a Barcelona player may have raised some eyebrows, it’s not the first message Ronaldo has sent to Fati.

Indeed, last year Ronaldo put another Instagram story with a picture of Fati tossing a Nike boot, alongside some emojis posted of a thumbs up and a flexed biceps.

In both that post and this new one, a piece of Nike equipment (the boots before and now a ball) is displayed in the image, with the trademark swoosh logo facing forward.

Would it surprise you to learn that both players are sponsored by Nike and have the same agent, Jorge Mendes?
