The striker’s been out with a sprained ankle

Martin Braithwaite was back in Barcelona training on Thursday morning as the club continue preparations for this weekend’s big game against Atletico Madrid.

The Denmark international has been out for a little while with a sprained ankle suffered in a training session and hasn’t featured since the Copa del Rey final win over Athletic.

Braithwaite’s presence in the session suggests he could be included in the matchday squad for Saturday’s game at the Camp Nou.

Obviously there’s little chance Braithwaite will start but he could prove a useful option off the bench if he is back to full fitness in time for the visit of the Rojiblancos.

Braithwaite’s scored eight times for Barca in all competitions so far in 2020-21, although his last goal was back in March in the Copa del Rey semi-final win over Sevilla.
