Ronald Araujo says Barcelona will ‘fight until the end’ in La Liga
The defender’s been in defiant mood
Ronald Araujo says Barcelona will “fight until the end” to be crowned La Liga champions after Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Atletico at the Camp Nou.
Ronald Koeman’s side missed the chance to go above Atletico in the table and remain two points behind the Rojiblancos with just three games left to play.
Saturday’s result is good news for Real Madrid, who will go top with a win over Sevilla on Sunday, but Araujo says it’s not over just yet.
“We are Barca, we have a good team, there are three games to go and we’ll fight until the end in La Liga, it seems very difficult but we are close,” he said.
“I think they were shutting up well at the back. They came out rapidly on the counters with Carrasco and Correa and we tried to stop them and play how we knew.
“It’s a shame as we wanted the three points to try and stay in the fight for La Liga, but we have to continue.”

Araujo will be hoping to start next time out against Levante. The Uruguayan was left out of the starting XI against Atletico but came on at half-time for Oscar Mingueza and could keep his place in the team.
