Barca ready to take drastic measures with Umtiti - report
The defender has one week to find a new club
It’s no surprise that Barcelona wish for Samuel Umtiti to leave the club. Report after report has trickled in this summer about different clubs making Umtiti approaches. However, most of them have been to clubs that may be viewed as lesser than Barcelona and not offering as much money.
That has left Umtiti in a situation where he doesn’t want to leave a big club in a beautiful location to make less money. One couldn’t really blame him for that.
However, Barcelona isn’t incredibly happy with Umtiti rejecting proposal after proposal. According to a report from Sport, Barcelona are letting the defender know they’ll literally sack him by terminating his contract if he should continue to reject proposals for an exit. Which if true, shows you just how desperate they are to get committed contractual money off the books.
Umtiti reportedly now has just one week to try and agree a move before Barca rip up his contract.
