Another swap was planned apparently

One of the key themes to this summer’s wildness at Barcelona has been that Miralem Pjanic will be on his way out as soon as possible. The 31-year-old midfielder hasn’t enjoyed his time at Barcelona and was never really given a chance to succeed at the club.

His return to Juventus has felt imminent but the details have yet to be ironed out. Sport reported that Barcelona turned down the chance of a swap deal that would have seen Arthur to return to the Camp Nou on a pay cut.

In the report, Sport said, “Despite being willing to take a pay cut, Barça are not interested in signing the player due to his lack of professionalism, poor injury record and lack of on-field impact during his last spell at the club.”

Not sure if this was what their Barca sources were telling them or their opinion, either way, harsh.
